Two arrangements for ukulele, bass and drums of Chopin’s Nouvelle Etude #1 in F Minor, and his Nouvelle Etude #2 In Ab. Both piano etudes are a study in playing different rhythms in each hand simultaneously, in the first etude, 3 against 4; in the second etude, 3 against 2. After playing them on piano, I was inspired to arrange the left hand as an upright bass, the right hand as a ukulele and compose a drum track for extra dimension. It’s quite a jazzy sound. Chopin was way ahead of the pack.
